- Course objectives
- The lecture is focused on Plato´s theory of beauty and of art.
- Syllabus
- In the first part of the course, Plato´s theory of Forms is explained. The point of departure is the idea of the "second voyage" in Phaed. 96a-102a. In the second part of the course, key texts for Plato´s theory of beauty and art are being read and discussed: Symp. 201d-2012a, Phdr. 246a-257b, Ion, Resp. 593a-608b.

Information on course enrolment limitations: posluchači bc. estetiky, kteří začali své studium před více než třemi semestry, musí mít splněnu postupovou zkoušku (ESAPZE), jinak si tento předmět nemohou zapsat. Pro ostatní obory není zápis omezen.
