Course objectives
The course will give first-year ethnology students hands-on experience with research work techniques both from the formal structure and content structure points of view. At the end of the course, students should be able to produce basic forms of scholarly styles of writing such as reviews, to make a list of references and prepare a coursework on a set topic. Students will find the skills learned useful in the course of further study.

  • Formal aspects of scholarly articles (citations, notes).
  • Special bibliography (national, international).
  • Accessory and specialist literature.
  • Specialist journals.
