Course objectives
The principal goal of the course is to introduce the topic of Slavonic nations connected with an analysis of the ethnical issues and conflicts (the Balkans).
Syllabus
  • Ethnogenesis of Western Slavs (Czechs, Polish, Sorbs, Polabians).
  • Ethnogenesis of Eastern Slavs (Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians).
  • Ethnogenesis of Southern Slavs (Slovenes, Croatians, Serbs,
  • Macedonians, Montenegrins).
  • Ethnographic regionalisation and differentiation.
  • Typical demonstrations of traditional culture.
