Course objectives
The course introduces students to methods of planning advanced ethnological research and securing its funding, using an example 1. structured proposal of doctoral research 2. applications for research funding from the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic 3. applications for a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic for publishing activities. The subject is intended especially for students aiming to get a job in the field and scientifically oriented field institutions.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, the student will be able to prepare a research project structured according to the formal requirements of 1. tender documentation for the submission of projects financed from the resources of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic; subsidy rules for financing projects from the subsidy program of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

  • 1/ Doctoral research proposal 2/ Application for subsidy from the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic 3/ Request for subsidy from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic 4/ Individual development of the chosen format (one of the presented ones) by the students (preparation will include independent study of the latest professional literature, visits to memory institutions, etc.) 5/ Multi-round evaluation of the chosen format by teachers
