Course objectives
Still far from the boom and the impact the traditional aesthetic disciplines (art and musicology) have experienced, audio-visual education was considered for a long time to be a totally insufficient partner for the pedagogic discourse. We will try to overcome this obsolete approach and to reduce the vacuum it spread along and within the basic curriculum standards and documents. The principal goal of the course lies in an introductory insight into the field. Aimed primarily into a theory but packed with a respect to an interdisciplinary vein, the course sums up the relevant terms, methods and didactic approaches. Creative and non-conform mode of thought as well as vibrant and refreshing responses to the discussed topics are a general pre-requisite for the course's participants.
