Course objectives
The long-term foreign internship is an internship at an overseas academic or research center of usually three months.
The aim is to extend the professional, linguistic and cultural competencies of the student with the help of plausible practice examples, thus improving the quality of the absolvents and their ability to compete in practice.
Learning outcomes
Student will extend her/his professional, linguistic and cultural competencies with the help of plausible practice examples. S/he will improve the quality of her/his ability to compete in practice.
Syllabus
  • The course is carried by the student in co-operation with the Departmental coordinator for Erasmus and with the course supervisor.
  • Part of the process is a motivation letter explaining the intended purpose, duration, and content of the internship.
  • The internship is conditioned by the final agreement of the Course Leader.
  • The internship is recommended to pass during the 2nd or 3rd semester.
  • It is recommended to use the Erasmus program or other programs that support student internships.
  • Under the Erasmus program, FAV offers 15 agreements with universities from Italy, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Great Britain, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Teaching methods
Intership abroad.
Assessment methods
Written report from the intership - which describes and evaluates the intership. The integral part of the report is a list of carried study and professional activities (courses, research activity, etc.).
The form of the report is possible to find in the learning materials of the course.
The report will be handed over during 14 days after returning from the internship.
The report will be on the Department's website as part of motivational and experience sharing.
