Course objectives
The course is aimed at questions which in a fundamental manner affected the development of medieval Western civilisation. The main focus is on the current state of research and the methods of investigating particular questions and the possibilites which sources and modern medievalist methods offer. A general orientation in terminology is offered in a system of sources and chosen problems for the European medievalist.
