Course objectives (in Czech): Kurs má za úkol studenty seznámit s nejnovějšími dějinami Pyrenejského poloostrova – od tzv. Karafiátové revoluce v Portugalsku (1974) a smrti generála Franca ve Španělsku (1975) do současnosti. Charakter diktátorských režimů v obou zemích, přechod k demokratické společnosti, evropská volba a přibližování tradičně nepřátelských zemí během integračního procesu, vstup do ES (1986) a s tím spojené změny ve společnosti a ekonomice. Předmět je vhodný obzvlášť pro studenty specializace „mezinárodní vztahy a evropská studia“.
