Course objectives
Students will acquire a basic orientation in  the history of Ukraine and Eastern Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Learning outcomes
Students will acquire a basic overview of the history of East-Central and Eastern Europe and will be able to orientate themselves in the basic milestones in the history of the Eastern European region from the Middle Ages to the end of the 18th century. They will gain an overview of the political, ethnic, religious and social development of Ukraine and Eastern Europe. It will become aware of the different and distinctive political, cultural and ethnic development of Ukraine. He/she can place the history of Eastern Europe and Ukraine in the broader context of European history.
