Current state of research and analytical perspectives on early music culture.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to understand the basic processes of music in the Bohemian lands from the late Middle Ages to the second half of the 18th century. The student will also understand the possibilities of analyzing arias from the first half of the 18th century.

  • Moravia as a Passing Land - Connections and Parallels between the Late Middle Ages and the Emergence of the Baroque / Bohemia, Silesia, Upper Hungary, Lower Austria Prague - Olomouc - Wrocław around 1600 Jacobus Handl Gallus: distribution of his own work and questions of operational practice in the context of Central European polychorality around 1600 Nicolaus Zangius: contemporary roles of the musician vs. historical reflection What do we know about the instrumental repertoire in the Bohemian lands before the mid-17th century?
