Prerequisites
Understanding the basic principles of concept art and its applications and modifications in postmodern age of interactive technologies and media. Ability to identify suitable context and to interpret contemporary art in relevant context.

Course objectives
Discursive and non-discursive symbolism in human culture. Philosophy of language and semiotics. Conceptualization of art creation in 20th century. Liberalization of representational conventions in arts of 20th century. De-realization of human experience as a consequence of mutual acting of real and virtual worlds. Art and technology. Art and science. New sensibility in arts and interdisciplinary creativity. Art as an interpretational game with contexts.

  • 1. Dematerialization and conceptualization of work of art. 2. Concept art and philosophy of language. 3. Fluxus and DIY aesthetics. 4. New technologies and media. 5. Intermedia and multimedia. 6. Postmodern age and electronic and media worlds. 7. Art in public space and massmedia. 8. Art as interpretational game with contexts. 9. Interactive art as possible tool for articulation the plurality of postmodern age.
