Course objectives
The goal of the course is to introduce students to the multidisciplinary field of information systems and business informatics. The specific objectives are:
- Introduce students to the basic principles and characteristics of information systems,
- Explain the phases of the life cycle of information systems and the activities of information specialists within them,
- Describe the basic functions of various types of enterprise applications.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the structure of an information system,
- Justify the purpose of the information system and its individual parts,
- Explain the life cycle of an IS,
- Explain the specifics of various enterprise information systems,
- Create a simple report in PowerBI
