Course objectives
The course focuses on the socially important subject area, which is the human-information interaction in the research field of the humanities. One of the aims of the course is to show students different approaches to exploring activities that develop literacy in libraries and other institutions. Another goal is to lead students to the analytical approach to information resources relevant to the given issue. The course also has an application level at the level of fieldwork and work with research data.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course student:
- understands the importance of research work in the field of information education;
- can analytically work with information sources on subject matter;
- is able to actively participate in the preparation of research in information education;
- has the competence to apply knowledge in relevant fieldwork

  • 5. Methodological paradigms and information education;
  • 6. Quantitative methodology in information education research;
  • 7. Qualitative methodology in information education research;
  • 8. Research contexts of information education in a formal curriculum;
  • 9. Research contexts of information education in lifelong learning;
