Course objectives
Student masters the usage of grammatical patterns learned in the course Japanese Language IV. – theory, is able to create more complex constructions and has a thourogh knowledge of the basic grammar of the modern Japanese; he/she is equiped with sufficient vocabulary for conversation in various sociopragmatic contexts, and for translation of more complex texts and is able to apply the knowledge of accent and pronunciation in practice. Attendance compulsory.
Learning outcomes
After studying this course, the student will be able to apply knowledge of further grammatical structures, vocabulary and more complex sytnactical constructions in practical communication, as well as translate more complex texts.

Teaching methods
Hearing, visual-audial work with main texts of the textbook. Grammar based on model sentences. Introductory translation and interpreting excercises. My own exercises and drills.
Assessment methods
A written test examining the students knowledge across all the layers of the particular units of the textbook, viz. the material contained in the main texts, knowledge of grammar and vocab, and passive knowledge of the characters included in the new vocab.
Náhradní absolvování
The successful test is necessary even for students who could not attend the lectures in person, say in case of study abroad. The student depends on a self-study of the units done in this course.
