Course objectives
The course is designed primarily for language teachers in any system: schools, private institutions, universities. It is valuable to teachers who have a lexico-grammatical view of language, and who understand or would like to understand the highly patterned nature of human language, and how this translates into teaching.

With access to corpora in over 25 languages, this course suits teachers of any languages, but the course is conducted in English and most of the examples are in English.

Teaching methods
The course is taught at computers, whether those supplied by the participants or the deparment. It is therefore a very hands on course. However, considerable background is provided in the areas of language learning and pedgagocial linguistics. Readings and discussions combine with corpus searches to arrive at relevant ways of applying corpus work to language teaching.
