Course objectives
Tento kurz slouží jako úvod do historie celého současného území katalánsky mluvících zemí od prehistorie až po současnost. Předmět se zaměřuje zejména na historii Valencie, Andorry, Severního Katalánska, Baleárských ostrovů, východního Aragonu, Algheru a Carxe, protože historie a kultura Katalánska jsou vysvětleny v úvodu do katalánské historie a kultury 1.

This course serves as an introduction to the history of the entire current Catalan-speaking territory from prehistory to the present day. The course focuses especially on the history of the Valencian Country, Andorra, Northern Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Eastern Aragon, Alghero and Carxe, since the history and culture of Catalonia are explained in Introduction to Catalan history and culture 1.
Learning outcomes
Po absolvování kurzu bude student schopen: - identifikovat a shrnout důležité rysy katalánsky mluvících zemí a jejich kultury; - podat přehled o zeměpisue Valencie, Baleárských ostrovů, Andorry, Algheru, Aragonu a el Carxe; - psát a mluvit o katalánské kultuře a identitě; - analyzovat současnou politickou situaci katalánských zemí; - rozpoznat významné spisovatele, hudebníky, umělce a další významné osobnosti katalánských zemí.

After completing the course, a student will be able to: - identify and summarize important features of Catalan speaking countries and their culture; - talk about the geography of Valencia, Balearic Islands, Andorra, Alghero, Aragon and el Carxe; - write and talk about Catalan culture and identity; - analyze the current political situation of Catalan speaking countries; - recognize important writers, musicians, artists and other important people from all the Catalan speaking countries
