Course objectives
The fourth semester oft he course, which aims to provide a basic understanding of Biblical Hebrew, serves to understand the biblical text in view of its correct interpretation. Advanced language knowledge is practiced by translating text, and is then compared with translation into contemporary Hebrew. The part IV introduces the basics of exegesis of biblical text, extends the knowledge of flexion of irregular verbs and concludes the interpretation of Biblical Hebrew syntax. The aim of this course is to deepen and consolidate the already discussed grammatical structures and read more complex narrative and lyrical texts.
