The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to teach the students to be able to, on a fundamental level, communicate in Esperanto in both written and spoken form, explain the basic principles of Esperanto grammar and introduce them to the context and problems of Esperanto as an auxiliary constructed language.
Syllabus
  • The course is at its core divided into two parts – a dominant part focused on teaching the language and a smaller part offering a historic and linguistic context. The first part is devoted to acquisition of correct pronunciation, grammatical structures, vocabulary, and syntax of Esperanto via the means of simple conversations, texts, and listening exercises concerning the topics of everyday life. The second part consists of an introduction of the context surrounding the creation of Esperanto, the main ideas behind it, historical and contemporary usage and linguistic problems.
