Course objectives
Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows: to elaborate the knowledge of the Italian grammar with the emphasis on the syntax; to be able to write a short paper or speak briefly about a topic or describe a picture (level A2 CEFR).
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand explained vocabulary;
- use the vocabulary in spoken and written language;
- explain and apply grammar discussed in seminars;
- apply the acquired competencies in the final exam: use grammar rules acquired during the seminar I - IV and speak about a book written by an italian author.
Syllabus
  • Reflexive verbs. Impersonal form.
  • Buying: to determinate the size,the price and quantity ("ne").
  • The "dative" pronouns. Unstessed pronouns in the compound tenses.
  • Discussion on the TV programmes and concerts. To express the preferences and options.
  • Imperative.
  • Music.
  • Simple and compound conditional.

Teaching methods
The student has to deliver 3 essays and 3 traductions in Italian during the semester. Attendance and participation in the course (min. 70%) is required.
Assessment methods
Written and oral examination aimed at testing the language skills according to the A2 level of European reference frame.
