Course objectives
The course is taught in Modern Greek. Conversation is focused on current topics from Greek newspapers and magazines concerning Greek literature, history and culture on the whole. The main aim of the course is the improvement of independent oral and writing practice in Modern Greek language. At the end of the course, students will be able to actively communicate in Modern Greek. They will be capable of producing a text concerning discussed topics. They will be capable of understanding difficult Modern Greek texts which deal with the discussed topics.

  • Conversation topics: studies, character, health, fauna and flora of Greece, internet, European Union.
  • Independent oral and writing practice in Modern Greek language. E-learning - vocabulary tests.

Teaching methods
The course has a form of a seminar.
Assessment methods
The course ends with a written test based on the texts explained and discussed during seminars (min. 70 %), an oral examination.
