This course is recommended to students who have successfully completed one year of Arabic (MEDMgr13 a MEDMgr14).

Course objectives
This course is aimed at practising and solidifying students' knowledge of grammar covered in the mandatory Language Seminar course. Students' communication skills will be further developed by means of additional listening material and stylistic exercises. At the end of the course students will have attained A2/B1 level according to CEFR.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- understand more advanced listening material;
- understand more advanced text;
- built on the language competences acquired in the language seminars.

  • Practice focusing on some of the more advanced grammatical structures.
  • Listening comprehension (at A2-B1 level of CEFR).
  • Reading comprehension (at A2-B1 level of CEFR).
  • Topics for conversation (at A2-B1 level of CEFR).

Teaching methods
Grammar exercises, lexical exercises, reading and listening comprehension, speaking skills practice.
Assessment methods
Ongoing student assessment: homeworks assigned during the term and active participation in the seminars (75 % minimum is required). Final assessment: written examination at the end of the term.
