Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: acquainting students with the terminology of the museum pedagogy; making students aware of conception of the modern museum pedagogy; analyzing the museum education in the select museums.
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain the modern trends of the museum education; interpret the educational result of the museums; interpret the offer program of the museums for children and youth; make the conception of the effective museum education.

  • Introduction, terminology, literature.
  • Introduction to general pedagogy.
  • Museum pedagogy, its history and development.
  • Museum pedagogy in abroad - USA, Germany, etc.
  • Methods of museum pedagogy and its use in practice.
  • Practice in terrain.
