Course objectives
The aim of the excursion is a practical introduction to the functioning of the book market centres in Prague.
Learning outcomes
- understanding of how the book industry works - a more precise definition of the individual actors in the segment (publisher, bookseller, library)
Syllabus
  • - visiting bookshops, publishers and the national library - expert discussions with translators and publishers in the Literary Café

Teacher's information
The programme will always be specified before the start of the excursion. In the autumn semester 2022, the excursion to Prague will take place on 3-4 November (Thursday and Friday) with the possibility of staying for an optional programme on Saturday morning. Students cover their own expenses related to the excursion.
