Course objectives
The course is focused on the reflexion of methodological concepts in linguistics - in close connection with the topics of dissertation projects; the methodology of the contrastive linguistics is especially focussed on.
Learning outcomes
after completing the course, the students are able to: identify and evaluate the specifics of German and Czech in typological perspective; perform a comparative analysis of selected phenomena in specific texts; to verify the validity of generalized typological characteristics and their specific limitations;

  • individual and group consultations, presentation of topical problems and model solutions within individual research work, discussion of relevant contrastive methods - in relation to dissertation topics;
