Course objectives
Based on the oldest language history discussed in the previous semester, the development since the Old High German period is thematized.
The main focus belongs to the phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical changes between the Old-, Middle- and Early New High German, but also some questions of pragmatics and extra linguistic aspects are mentioned in relevant contexts.
