Course objectives
Aim of the seminar is, that students should be able to analyze texts from the perspective of a translator to produce a good oral text. At the end of the course they should understand structures and meanings of speeches and other oral texts; they should be able to find keywords and to take notes and on this basis produce a coherent text. They should be able to produce and present an oral text according to the target group.

  • exercices to text comprehension, text analysis for translators and notetaking; strategies for research and home exercices, text editing, production and presentation texttypes: oral texts like speeches, interviews, presentations and discussions
