Jede nationale Kultur manifestiert sich in kollektiven Begriffen, Bildern, Mythen und Symbolen – solche Gemeinplätze werden kulturwissenschaftlich Topoi genannt. Wir wollen in diesem Seminar ausgewählte Topoi der Neuesten Deutschen Geschichte (also der Zeit von 1945 bis heute) betrachten und uns so der Frage nähern, was eigentlich als ‘typisch deutsch’ gilt, und was den Deutschen als Identifikationsmerkmalen dient.
