Přednáška zevrubně líčí děj, sled jednotlivých příhod /áventiure/ a vyzvedává klíčové scény. V další rovině se výklad věnuje rozlišení hrdinských, mytologických a dvorských rysů díla. Nastiňuje vzájemné vztahy mezi jednotlivými ústředními postavami a snaží se o jejich charakteristiku. Podkladem je originální text, doplněný novoněmeckým překladem.( hand-outs). Seminář bude věnován četbě textu a odborných statí o nibelunské problematice, jeho součástí bude také rozbor formální stavby Písně - nibelunské strofy- a ukázky jejího těsného vztahu k obsahu
