Course objectives
Translation of non-fictional texts in Norwegian and Danish.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the students will gain a basic overview of the terminology of selected areas; to reflect the specificities of the texts for special purposes with regard to translation;

  • texts within medicin, legacy, technique and other topics

Teaching methods
Individual work at home (translation of assigned texts); these need to be handed in before each class. In class, work is done in the form of text analysis, group discussions, comparisons a finalizing the translation. All translation work is done from Norwegian into Czech language.
