Course objectives
The aim of the course is to practise Norwegian pronunciation.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- pronounce Norwegian sounds correctly;
- describe the sound system of contemporary Norwegian;
- master the basics of phonetic terminology.
Syllabus
  • The sound system of Norwegian. Vowels. Diphthongs. Consonants.
  • Stress and length.
  • Word intonation.
  • The course overlaps with the practical language course NOI_01 Norwegian I/1.
