Course objectives
After fulfilled course and exam/test Students will have the theoretical and practical background in order to be able to pronounce and read Norwegian sounds, words, sentences and texts correctly.
Syllabus
  • The aims of the course: Give a solid outline of the vowel and consonant system of modern spoken Norwegian based on spoken Norwegian in south-eastern Norway (Oslo). Give a similar solid outline of the prosodic system. Make a solid outline contrasting the Czech and Norwegian vowel, consonant and prosodic systems. Let students exercise massively and constantly in plenum and groups on the Norwegian sounds based on adapted exercises, short coherent texts, audio-material and teacher’s examples.
