Course objectives
The aim of the course is to characterize the work of counselling organisations, concrete forms of their services and positions of counsellors in the institutions. The practical part is focused on ethical aspects of counselling work, on treating a wide range of situations which counselling target population faces. It is directed at organisations where specific forms of counselling are practiced (either in a corrective or prophylactic way) e.g. education, school, profession counselling. Within the course, participants first study background literature and then confront it with practical reflections in a chosen institution. Based on this experience, they write individual reports and prepare Power Point presentations in seminar groups for other participants of the course. A complex study support for completion of the course is to be found in the E-learning application Elf.

Assessment methods
Credit Participation on an excursion and a field practice is required. Output of the practical part is a written task. The credit is awarded for elaboration of the task and participation on a group discussion. A study support for the course (study materials, concrete task assignments, schedule of lectures and group meetings, etc.) is to be found in Moodle.
