- The course is based on a division of human communication into positive and negative forms and students will be consequently introduced to theory and practice of assertive communication and to its practical implications. The focus is on non-confrontation “soft” assertive proceedings that reduce the risk of bitterness and conflicts in interpersonal relationships. Course Aims: students will be able to characterize assertive communication and to recognize situations and options for appropriate use of assertive techniques in practical life.
