Course objectives
The course is focused on a specific target group of social work and social service and one of the course aims is to combine knowledge in the areas of social work, social politics and pedagogy so as it could be applied in a practical perspective. The general concept and methods of work with teenagers are set into a wider context of juvenile criminality and possibilities of its educative treatment (e.g. system of at-risk youth care, influence of social environment on teenagers, prediction and prevention of criminal behaviour). The course is enhanced by solving casuistic cases. Course Aims After completing the course students will be able to analyze conditions of work with teenagers in the sphere of education, social service, justice, students will be able to look for, apply and suggest possible effective solutions for problems of youth service and activities in all-society context.

Assessment methods
Practicals and seminar, includes interactive tutoring methods – discussion, presentation of a given or chosen task. Course Evaluation – Credit as collective final oral evaluation. Each student is required to present a given or chosen task during the semester.
