Course objectives
The project seeks to respond to the global challenges of sustainable development, particularly in relation to training, with the aim of bring this subject to students. Students will become familiar with the theme of Czech development cooperation and development education, then they will be outlined specifics of education in developing countries and presents some of the teaching methods and techniques used in developing areas. Subsequently, they will be presented a summary of experience with practical training in developing countries, from the mouth of professionals involved in concrete projects in developing areas (People in Need, INEX, Njovu ops, etc.). Acquired skills students can apply in professional life with a wide clientele.

  • 1. Education in developing countries - the definition of basic concepts, characteristics. 2. The specifics of education in developing countries. 3. Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid - principles, forms, basic documents. 4. The initiators of development cooperation. International Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic. 5. Trends and challenges of contemporary development cooperation. 6. Global development education. Intercultural learning. 7. Development project in theory and in practice. Collaboration and participation within volunteering. 8. Education in developing countries, examples of best practices - a series lectures of experts.
