Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce participants to the basic principles of age management, including the concept of work ability. Attention is also paid to current challenges in the labour market, especially with regard to the ageing workforce and the new generations entering the labour market. Participants will also gain knowledge about the possibilities of implementing age management in organizational practice.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the participant will be able to define the basic principles of age management. He/she will know the specifics of each generation on the labour market. Furthermore, he/she will be oriented in the issues of age management in the organization. The participant will also be able to link existing personnel measures with the principles of age management.
Syllabus
  • 1. Basic background of age management (ageing, old age, demographic situation in the Czech Republic) 2. Origin and development of age management; anchoring in strategic documents 3. Generations on the labour market 4. The concept of working ability and its individual dimensions, factors influencing working ability 5. Age management in an organisation - managing the age structure of employees in an organisation using personnel measures 6. Examples of projects and good practice of age management in the Czech Republic and abroad
