Course objectives
At the end of the course a student should understand the wide philosophical movement labeled as analytical philosophy, which means that she is capable to understand its essentail features, its methodological assumptions; it also means that she is capable to understand key writings (from Frege, Russell to Kripke, Davidson etc.), i.e. to fluently interepret them. The knowledge gradously aquired is examined by means of short online tests.

Early Wittgenstein 6. Vienna Circle (Carnap, Schlick, Neurath etc.) 7. Lwow-Warsaw School 8. Quine 9. Philosophy of ordinary language (late Wittgenstein, Austin, Strawson, Grice) 10. (Post)analytical philosophy(Davidson, Putnam, Rorty) 11. Singular terms (Kripke), propositional attitudes 12. Modal metaphysics (Lewis, Plantinga, etc..)
