Course objectives
The aim of this lecture is to introduce the students to Aristotle's writings and his philosophical system. Therefore, the main part of the lecture will deal with the content and importance of selected Aristotle's writings.

After the completion of the course, students should be able to:
orientate themselves in Aristotle's works and in his philosophical system.

Teaching methods
Lectures and on-line presentations.
Assessment methods
The course will have the form of lecture. The oral exam will consist in a discussion about studied texts.
For the discussion the students have to study in detail one of Aristotle's works (the list can be completed or changed). The students have to prepare a draft that can be used during the exam. Following the model of lecture, the students have to focus on:
a) summary of contents and description of its structure,
b) its position in the context of Aristotle´s thought,
c) methodological characteristics of Aristotle´s approach,
d) explication of interesting argumentative passages.
