Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
prove knowledge of the essentials issues of the philosophy of nature;
explain diference in the separate theories of the philosophy of nature;
critically interpret a text related to the philosophy of nature;

  • Life in a theological perspective;
  • Holism, vitalism, and mechanicism in biology and philosophy;
  • Structuralism and neostructuralism in biology and philosophy;
  • Evolution – an eternal topic in natural sciences, philosophy, and theology;
  • The aesthetics of nature;
  • Natural scientists turned philosophers;
  • Bioethics and genetic engineering;
  • Essentials issues in sociobiology;
