Course objectives
The analysis of Popper's understanding of the historicism with the exceptional respect to the question of the social philosophy and to the metodology of the historical sciences.
Syllabus
  • The lecture is to be focused to the reading and an analysis of Popper's texts, mostly of "The Poverty of Historicism" with the fragments of "The Open Society and Its Enemies" and "The Logic of Scientific Discovery". The analysis should discuss first of all the methodologic, and historic, and philosophic connections of these Popper's works. This lecture should also include the papers about all Popper's works accesible in Czech.
