Course objectives
The reading of the selected passages from the book by H.-G. Gadamer: Wahrheit und Methode. We will try to read some selected passages from translations of Gadamerś studies to. There will be interpreted above all these chapters Bedeutung der humanistischen Tradition fuer die Geisteswissenschaften, Grunzuge einer Theorie der hermeneutischen Erfahrung, especially the subchapter Die Rehabilitierung von Autoritat und Tradition At the end of the course the students ought to be abe, of course at the appropriate level, also these essays and books written by Gadamer which were not reflected at the seminar.

  • 1. The Meaning of the readition in humanities 2. The Foundations of the Hermeneutical Theory of Experience 3. According to the selection also the presentations of interpretations of Gadamerś studies in Czech, German and also in translation to English, for instance The Artwork in Word and Image.
