Course objectives
To make visible a philosophical backgroung of political idas in some works of Art.
Learning outcomes
An ideal student knows bacic categories of Politics as common good being represented by some works of Art.
Syllabus
  • Ancient political Philosophy and its reflection in Arts. Affirmation in art of Middle-Age Europe. Hobbes, social treatment and religious wars. Revolution in USA and France in arts. Marx, Lifsic, Lukács, Brecht, Gramsci: dignity and alienation. Nacism/Fascism in arts. Mass media, Overton window, censorship. Cultural hegemony at present: pensée unique, TINA
