Course objectives
The aim of this course is to improve students’ practical skills in stylization, especially with regard to written scholarly texts (time permitting attention may be paid to spoken scholarly texts too). Formal requirements relating to scholarly texts (including citation norms) are also integrated in the course.
Syllabus
  • The work in the course involves: the revision of stylistic norms relating to scholarly communication, the individual stages of preparing scholarly texts (invention, composition, stylization, presentation), the work with authentic materials as well as with materials prepared by students on the basis of the particular assignments.

Teaching methods
The course consists of tutor´s explanations and own students´ activity, with the focus on the development of the capabilities necessary for creating scholarly texts.
