Course objectives
The course aims at improving and exercising in knowledge and skills obtained in courses PLIN004 (Elementary mathematisc and statistics for Humanities I) and IB000 (Induction and Recursion). By means of practical tasks students will be able to better understand abstract and formal methods that will ease further advances in studies within the field of Czech Language with Orientation on Computational Linguistics. The students can heavily influent the content of the seminar during discussions and consultations related to the course topics.

  • - principals of contemporary computer engineering
  • - foundations of algorithmics
  • - principals and paradigms in programming
  • - exercising in simple methods of automated text processing
  • - exercising in simple programming tasks
  • - discussion on selected topics on students' demand
