Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to analyze the etymology of the names of the days of the week. (M.P.Boleo - Nomes dos Dias da Semana - influência moura ou cristã?), the reading of the Portuguese archaic texts and Galaico-Portuguese texts and its analytic elaboration based in the corpus LInguateca. We will also compare the first Grammars of the Portuguese Language: F.de Oliveira, J.de Barros, L. de Vasconcelos). At the end of the semester we will compare of the Galician and Portuguese morphology (Morfoloxia da Lingua Galega).
