Prerequisites
Admission requirements: holders of a 1st cycle or equivalent. Holders of a graduate degree accomplished in a foreign university with a Portuguese studies component.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Devellopment of the awareness of professional conduct that will guide the career of student 2. Reinforcement in the student awareness of the educational value of teaching and learning of Portuguese as a Second Language. 3. Acquisiton of a specific theoretical and methodological framework of Foreign Language Teaching/Didactics, in order to raise awareness on the ways and reasons of teaching practices peculiar to teaching/learning Portuguese as a Second Language.
Learning outcomes
It is expected that students, at the end of the semester, have acquired basic notions related to the themes and it is intended that they acquire knowledge and skills in conjunction with other UCs of the master program.

  • 1. Target audience in Czech and foreign contexts. 2. Teaching Portuguese in Czech and foreign contexts. 3. Motivational components of the study of the Portuguese language. 4. Portuguese as a second, foreign and inherited language. 5. Application of the ERR (European Reference Framework) to the PLE 6. Main problems in teaching and studying PLE in the Slavic context 7. Teaching materials for teaching PLE 8. OERS and MOOCs 9. PLE teaching planning according to the target audience 10. Class structure according to the target audience 11. Promotion of teaching PLE. 12. own research

Teaching methods
Theoretical-practical sessions. Active-cooperative method insisting on a qualified participation based on well-grounded knowledge, inferential capacity (by deduction and induction) and reflexive competences developed by students.
Assessment methods
Assessment will be based on the student's active involvement and research activity.
