Course objectives
At the end of the course the student is able
- to define and describe current international clasification of mental disorders
- to understamd the basic psychopatology of individua psychic function
- to employ mnifestation of psychopatology in the diagnostic proces
- to formulate acquired knowledge in concrete output of psychologic examination
- to evaluace aplication and usefulness of biological and psychotherapeutical treatmnet
- to evaluace legal and ethical aspects of communication and treatment of mental disorders

  • Introdution into psychiatry and positron of psychiatry in medeicine.
  • Classificatiion of mental disorders
  • Substance related disorders
  • Affective disorders : depression (ethiopathogenesis, clinical manifestation, treatment)
  • Further affective disorders (ethiopathogenesis, clinical manifestation, treatment)
  • Eating disorders
  • Issues of old age psychiatry
  • Personality disorders
  • Issues of child psychiatry. Attention deficit / hyperaktivity disorder
  • Biological treatment
  • Neurotic and stress-related disorders, somatoform disorders
  • Psychological examination in individual disorders Coooperation between psychiatrist and psychologist.

Teaching is based on lectures with interactive features. Speciál are presented by Professional in the sector A more detailed literature dealing with speciál issues is recommended Lectres are ended by discussion.
Assessment methods
Continous evalluation is performe by classs discussion. Teaching is terminated and evaluated by the final class discussion and giving credit by oral examination.
