Completion of courses Personality Psychology I. and History of Psychology is obligatory.It is assumed at least partial knowledge of General Psychology and Methodology.

Course objectives
Aim of the course is to introduce students to the main theoretical approaches in the psychology of personality in 20th and 21st century: psychodynamic approaches, behaviorism, humanistic psychology, cognitive approaches, theories of social learning, etc.
Learning outcomes
Students will be given an overview of the main theories of personality. The lectures are focused on selected theories of personality which represent main paradigms in psychology in 20. and 21.century - psychoanalysis, behaviorism, humanistic psychology, trait approach and social-cognitive approach.
Students will be able to integrate theoretical and empirical level of research in interindividual differences. Obligatory part of the course is a research participation. Students will take part in research projects being conducted by members of the Department of Psychology (especially in the Psychological laboratory),by CEITEC or by HUMElab.
At the end of this course the student will be able to link theoretical knowledge and acquired experiences with their practical use in research.
