This course is given in English therefore it is necessary for the student to have an advanced level of English language (recommended level is B2 or higher). International students are given priority in enrolment, local students are given permission for enrolment only to fill in vacancies.
To be able to enrol in the course student has to apply for permission (in Czech: "souhlas"). In the application the student should provide information about his past experience with presenting (if any) and his idea about what in particular s/he wants to learn or improve.
For successful completion of this course it is REQUIRED to assist most of the classes, be punctual, actively participate in the seminars, present three individual presentations according to given instructions and have a responsible approach.

At the end of the course students should be able to:
1. create a structure of a scientific presentation
2. present results of scientific work at conferences
3. react againts objections and questions
4. use presentation and audio-visual aids effectively.

Výukové metody
Theoretical content is presented mainly through e-learning while during seminars there is a lot of time dedicated to practice. Principal teaching methods: practice and video-training, feedback, group discussions and homework.
Metody hodnocení
This course has continuous evaluation. For successful completion student has to fulfil the activites assigned during the semester and meet the requirements for class attendance. In case of fulfillment of the continuous evaluation requirements it is not necessary to attend the final exam.

There will be a CHANGE in the TIMETABLE. The new projected time is: Wednesday 15:30 - 17:00. There is a SECOND CALL FOR APPLICATIONS. Please submit your applications for enrolment permission before 12 September. All submitted applications will be evaluated during the following weekend and we will grant the permissions to selected students. The IS sends a confirmation e-mail in case of both approval or rejection of your application. Applications sent after the above mentioned date may be approved only exceptionally if there are vacancies in the course. Keep in mind that the applications are evaluated according to their quality and that the position on the official "waiting list" is not being considered.
