Course objectives
The aim of the course is to deepen the student's previous knowledge and skills to independently prepare and implement a research project in the context of current approaches known as evidence-based psychology.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students will gain knowledge of evidence-based psychology and generally of the principles of evidence-based practices and their founders (A. L. Cochrane, D. M. Eddy, D. L. Sackett, R. B. Haynes). Students will be able to work effectively with information sources, to choose adequate references and to critically evaluate and synthesize the acquired knowledge in the professional text; they will acquire deeper foundations of scientific knowledge and evidence including methodological culture, the importance of the socio-cultural context and the problems of the hidden selectivity of published studies; they will acquire the meta-skills necessary for the preparation and conduct of research projects, including the critical assessment of scientific evidence, the hypotheses formulation and testing, and the planning methodologically different types of research.

Assessment methods
Credit. Conditions for obtaining credit is 80% of active student participation in the seminar and critical evaluation of the original empirical study according to student choice, min. 3 standard pages.
